Does anyone know what is going on that day? We will go to IOA that evening or just go back to the room, but I'm just curious as to why US is closing at 7 PM that night and IOA will be open until 9 PM.

Alison - I'm thinking maybe a private party or something of the sort? Just a guess though.

Thanks guys! I thought it might be something like that. I bet it costs a chunk of money to have a private party there!

I remember when I worked the Microsoft event. They bought out all of IOA, and a portion of USF. In between the two, they had a cut through through the soundstages with lasers all over, and even had a Shania Twain concert perform just for them.

our previous event was for the Mcdonalds management and Corporate side, and they bought basically every attraction AND store including roaming characters. The way it works is based on how many attractions and food locations you wanna buy is the price you pay, so lets say you just wanna buy marvel for 1-2 hours, relatively cheap *corporate wise of course* but if you purchase the entire park practically, minus a few food stands and restaurants, your looking at spending a decent amount.

Tim & Srantin, I'm sure you can relate to this:

Sometimes a private event will have MORE attendees than there were people in the park for the day!

I worked at IoA when GM closed the entire park early for an Employee appreciation thing. All the food & drink was free for them too

I know Microsoft has US on the 12th of June for TechEd. We went to the 2006 one in Boston and they bought out Fenway and had a Train concert. All food and drinks included :cool1: The Microsoft Management Summit DH (attendee) and I (guest pass) just went to in Vegas was pretty lame compared to TechEd. Fortunately my brother (Attendee) and SIL (guest pass) are going to TechEd this year and it will be thier first experience at Universal :thumbsup2 .
