Looking for some advice - it's been 10 years since we went to Universal!!

I keep seeing different lists for single rider lines, depending on crowd levels. We will be there over Memorial Day weekend and hoping the crowds won't be unmanageable. But anyone know which rides consistently have single rider lines both OPEN and WORTH using?

Also any touring advice would be great - I know we are heading to HP first on our IOA day, but what about our US day? We don't want to do the RR coaster, but are game for anything else.

Thanks in advance :goodvibes

I know we used SR for MIB, Spiderman and ROTM last summer and they all went really fast. We went through SR for MIB so many times in a row that the TM asked if we knew there were other rides in the park:goodvibes I think DS did SR for Dudley's Do Right Falls and it took FOREVER!

Assuming you are staying offsite, I say get there at rope drop, then head straight for The Simpsons Ride. After that, hit MIB for thr regular queue which is pretty neat. The do Jaws---the ride gets long and HOT later in the day. Then do ROTM, and use SR if the line is long. Then go back and hit the other rides like Shrek and Terminator.

Rides with single rider lines may or may not be open. It depends on the crowd levels and the staffing available at the attraction. However, with you going Memorial Day, I'm going to say that all single rider lines available will be open during that time.

Rides with single rider lines at IOA:

Hulk
Doctor Doom
Spiderman
Dudley Do Right's Ripsaw Falls
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

Rides at USF:

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
Revenge of the Mummy
Men in Black

If we want to do:

ET Adventure
Men in Black
Revenge of the Mummy
Shrek 4-D
The Simpsons Ride

What would be the best order? We're willing to do Single Rider Lines - 2 adults who just want to experience as much as possible!

Thanks! :goodvibes

I'd say: Simpsons, MIB, ROTM(SR if long line),Shrek 4-D, ET(don't think the line gets super long and it is an indoor queue). You can get these done easily in a morning, so you should be able to do more.

I think if you go in and go right you'll pass ET first, then Simpsons, then MIB, If you keep going around you'll pass quite a bit before Mummy, and the same for Shrek. These are the most popular rides where the lines build up so I agree do them first. Then go back and ride the rest.
If you arrive an hour before opening and get parked and to the gate you'll ride all these without significant lines. Then you can go back to say Simpsons and MIB. Simpson ride is really slow loading, where as MIB has SR and loads quick. We usually ride MIB two of three times. Then do all the other stuff like twister and disaster and Jaws. All fun too.

Of these attractions I would do Shrek 4-D first since it's right near the entrance and the lines get long pretty quickly. There is no single rider line for E.T., Shrek or The Simpsons (I don't think). MIB and Revenge of the Mummy are inside queues so you can stay cool while waiting in line.

Is Harry Potter's SRL useful? Does it take away from the atmosphere of the attraction (ie entering through a side door rather than experiencing the whole thing)?

Since Spiderman has a SRL, can we do that later in the day fairly quickly?

Sorry for all the questions - like I said, it's been awhile! :goodvibes

If you are a HP fan, I would recommend going through the regular queue at least once. The SRL goes through a very plain hallway (themed with stone walls, etc.) and straight into the last two rooms before boarding. You will miss most of the castle tour.

I heard there is a separate castle tour as well, where you don't ride the ride. Is that true? We ended up there(by accident) during the grand opening last year, so we were happy to use the SR line.
