US/IOA Gift Card Question

If you get a gift card for US and trade it in for the Universal dollars, can you use them at any restaurant or merchandise location at US or IOA or is there some restriction on them? I was thinking of buying one as a gift to use for dinner one evening at a nice TS restaurant or for merchandise.

i have bought the UO funny money....ok, it is called the universal script and it is just like money at both parks.



you can use the universal money at the merch and food places.
if you are due money back, you get it in cash/change

Mine was a gift, but I know that they were purchased at Publix Supermarket.

MAn, we don't have a Publix I guess I will look for one when we get to the lower 48.
