Having been to Disney over Christmas for the last three years, I know that the Disney parks are crazy! Are the Universal parks just as crazy?

Yes. You are insane and love punishment if you go to any park during the week after Christmas.

Yes. We visited this past Xmas week and were glad we weren't at WDW. I overheard a lot of people complaining about the wait for rides. Even with FOTL, there were hefty waits. Once we used strategies similar to WDW (go against the crowds), things were manageable. I'd go again during that time. My DH isn't keen on the idea.

is christmas week busier than the summer or are they about the same. i heard its crowded in the summer but manageable with fotl.

We were there the week before Christmas, and it wasn't too bad.

I think maybe we were there on Monday and most kids were still in school. We homeschool, so that wasn't an issue for us.

Although, there was a long line for MIB.

Not sure how the lines are but the week starting Christmas day until New Years is the busiest time of the year. It is worse then any point during the summer. Just to give you an idea of how busy Orlando is during this time last month there were times when the gates at 3 of the 4 Disney parks had to be closed at the same time because the parks were full.

We were there 12/26-1/1 and it was crowded, but managable. We used tricks like doing the most popular attrations at night/early morning, or during parades or enar big shows, ect. It's busier during Christmas than summer. Summer's busy, but the crowds are more spread out throughout the season (avoid July 4 though).

thank you thank you i am so excited for upcoming trip in july im glad that the summer months are more manageable than christmas time. we were trying to decide between the 2 and decided on summer time.
