My DH and I have one day remaining on 2-Day, 2-Park Ticket bought in 2004. We are thinking about going to US/IOA on Friday, September 25th. If we want to stay for HHN, do we need to only purchase the Stay and Scream ticket? Or do we have to purchase both the Stay and Scream ticket and a ticket for HHN?

If we purchase the Stay and Scream ticket, do you think it is still necessary to purchase the express pass?

What order do you recommend doing the houses/events at HHN?

How crowded do you think US/IOA will be during the day on 9/25? Do we need to be there at opening since we will be attending HHN? I'm not sure I want to spend from 9 a.m. to Midnight in a theme park. We will be staying at Disney so it won't be easy to go back to the hotel for a break.

Which rides would you recommend as "not-to-be-missed"? We would like to ride the new Rip Ride rollercoaster, Spiderman, and any of the other rides that have been put in since 2004?

What time will the stores and restaurants close at City Walk on 9/25?

Any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

1. If you still have a ticket that's valid for daytime admission into the parks, you would be able to purchase the Stay & Scream upgrade (discounted HHN ticket) so you could stay in the park after if closes. There is no such thing as a Stay & Scream ticket. Stay & Scream simply refers to the ability to stay in the park after it closes. We usually have mini-meets in the holding area at Finnegan's so it's a lot of fun.

2. Express Passes are definately worth it for HHN as the lines tend to grow to two hours or more. Doing S & S along with the Express will almost assure you of seeing all the houses.

3. Since the shows are only offered at set times, you would need to look at the schedule that night and decide which time would be best and go from there.

4. September crowds are usually light so you would not need to be there at opening. However...on HHN nights, the crowds at the Studios start building in the afternoons but not in the mornings.

5. I like all of the attractions and if you have time, do as many as you can.

6. The stores will probably close late that night. I'm not sure what time the restaurants close during HHN.

Make sure you post on the HHN dates thread to see who else will be there that night. I'll be there for opening night.

Thank you! I think we'll spend the day at IOA/US, take a break for lunch at Margaritaville, and then upgrade our ticket to Stay and Scream. I just can't justify another $60 each for an express pass.

Would you start with IOA in the morning and then go to US? We want to do Spiderman, Hulk, Jurassic Park, Dueling Dragon at IOA. Is Cat in the Hat too corny for adults? Dr. Seuss and Cat in the Hat was such an important part of my childhood, I would love to see it come to "life."

At US we want to do Rip Ride Rockit, Shrek 4-D, Mummy, Men in Black, Simpsons, Terminator 2 3-D and maybe Jaws and ET.

And then at HHN, since we won't have the express pass, I hope we get to do at least 4-5 of the haunted houses.

Thanks again for your help!

I would start in IOA and do what you want to do there before moving over to the Studios. I and lots of adults enjoy Cat in the Hat so go for it! I would play it by ear as to how the time is going for the attractions you want to do at the Studios. You should have no problem but it will start to get crowded in the afternoon and you may or may not be able to do all of those things. But...some will be open during HHN so you could ride them then if you wanted.

Thanks for your help! See you at Finnegan's on the 25th!
