well not really but boy have things changed since my last visit. We are going to WDW for a week and my DD's want to go to US for a day.
DH was surprised when I told him the Hannah-Barbarra show/ride is gone. He was shocked when I told him King Kong is gone. Then I told him about the Back to the Future/Simpsons rumor. When he gets home I have to tell him and DD Nickelodeon Studios is gone. We had no idea.
DH was in the Hitchcock show (he was mother) and he was in another show playing 1/2 man 1/2 horse. I forget the name of that show. Are they gone too?
Well, one good thing- lots of new rides to enjoy. :)

Hitchcock was replaced with Shrek. Jimmy Neutron replaced Hanna-Barbera. Revenge of the Mummy replaced Kong.

Hercules and Xena, which was the one that had people be centaurs (half man, half horse) is also gone. Nothing has replaced that.

I guess it's been awhile since you've been to Universal! Jimmy Neutron is where Hannah- Barberra was. I like Jimmy Neutron, pretrty much the same ride as HB. I miss King Kong :chewy: (no monkey smilie) , I still think that was a mistake :sad2: ! But don't forget to try "Revenge of the Mummy" :goodvibes . Hitchcock show is gone, I'm not sure but that may be where the Universal Horror make-up show is now, we went to that, it was pretty good. The guy up on stage was kind of annoying though  . Shrek 4-D :3dglasses iis really good, as well as the old favorites like Jaws, Men-in-Black, E.T. etc.. Now tell me :listen: , what is the rumor about Back to the Future/Simpsons?? :car:

I didn't read the thread but it seemed to be the Simpsons replacing Back to the Future. I have no idea if this is true or not.
Hercules & Xena was the show DH was in. He really enjoyed that trip. He loved the attention. :)
The last time we were at US was 8-01 or 02.

As mentioned Shrek 4-D replaced Hitchcock...which I think was basically since they wanted some more family friendly stuff. I enjoyed Hitchcock but like Shrek also.

Yes, US has transformed itself, and you haven't even mentioned IOA...have you considered going there also?

We've never been to IOA. We only have one day and have always loved US.
Can anyone tell me what the Mummy ride is like? My dd's are 16 and 6 so the 6 year old is my concern.
Also, we will be going 8-22 or 8-24. I'm not sure which day so can I buy our tickets at the gate including express pass?

The make up show is still there...don't go putting ideas into people's heads...

ROTM is a fun, thematically intensive, psychological thrill ride. You should allow yourself to get fully absorbed in the story behind the ride.

It's a rollercoaster, top speed of 45 mph, tallest drop 26', three air time spots, and a wall ride. It's very fun. The scariest parts of the ride are the slow moving parts. That's when you see mummies, bugs, fire, etc.
