US Free Dining Question

August 28-October 2
October 25-31
November 8-19
December 15-21

Last year, US Free Dining was offered for the above dates. My question is (wayneg are you there??), are the above dates 'check in by date...?'

The reason I want to know is that we want 26th September to 6th October and if dates are similar this year then that would be OK - we are open to resort choice.

Also for booking this deal from the UK (that's it if it happens this year!), is there a way to book the package online without having to wait hours on the phone to the US?

Your check in date sets the rate.
As long as you check in on an eligible date, you get the deal for your whole stay even if the deal ends on the day after your chzck in day

Thanks - the link takes me to the UK site though.

I know there used to be a way to book things on the US site but when I go to the bottom of the page for other links it only gives me the option to choose UK or Ireland - is there any other way to access these days?

Go to DisneyWorld.com and towards the top right you'll see English (UK & Ireland), click on that and change it to English (USA)

I'm also waiting to here,
As I actually want exactly the same dates as you! However were going to do a few days at universal first.
And then 9 days at Disney. I'm booked at beach club right now, but if I can change it to carribean beach and get free dining then that's what I might do, as it will literally half the cost of our stay at Disney.
I already have 2 day Base tickets, however I'll just save them and add the tickets I need for free dining up to 9 days.

Also you could book through dreams unlimited, they are a fantastic US Ta I've used them a few times now with no problems, for the US free dining.
If you book with them now as deposit only, they will call up automatically and add the free dining deal for you when it's released.

Do you have to book your park tickets in the package to get the free dining? Just wondering as I think our UK deal of 14 days/7 is better value for the parks. But have been wondering about the benefit of booking hotel either through the US site or US TA

Just wanted to ask about the free dining in the US too. If it gets announced in the UK for 2017 they normally come out with the dates at the end of April. When would the US site announce their free dining for 2017 dates please?

Depends on when you go. The US deals don't work like ours. Check mousesavers for the historical data on the periods free dining was offered.

Yes
You can only get the dining plan as part of a package (except for passhoolders, etc ...)
There is usually a minimum requirement of, say, 2 days of park ticket, so you can buy the package with minimum length of ticketd and still use a 14 days bought on the side. Just check expiration dates for tickets now that the system has changed with more changes coming
