Spending a day at US this trip with kids 9 and 4....we want them to see Harry Potter, but what else do you recommend for kids? Is there anything in the Marvel area for my 4yo? He loves the heroes?

TIA!!

Should probably be tall enough for Spider-Man. Also, there's a ride like the Disney teacups, it's back by Hulk (no height requirement). And, across from Spiderman, inside a store there's a meet and greet area for Spiderman. My son also met Wolverine and a couple other characters.

Ps: this area is at Island of Adventure, not Universal Studios. Not sure if you're doing both parks.

Thank you!! I never even thought about characters!! He will love that!!!

THere is a superhero cavalcade where they come riding in on ATVs. Then they do autographs.

THey might like the Sinbad show. If they like dinosaurs, make sure to let them spend a little bit of time in the Jurassic Park Discovery Centre and the Jurassic Park Playground.

Damo-that link was awesome thanks! Is that something they do everyday? So cool....!!!

If you are going to IOA, DS6 absolutely loves the playground in Jurassic Park. We always have trouble getting him out of there! Also the Hippogriff roller coaster. As someone else suggested, Spiderman is great for a kid into superheroes if tall enough.

Thanks for the ideas!!! I think my kids are going to love IOA!!

My five year old also loved all the Dr. Seuss stuff. Especially, One Fish Two Fish. There's a little Dr. Seuss storytime over by the ride that both my kids (5 and 2) liked, and they got to meet Thing1 and Thing2, Cat in The Hat, The Grinch and the Lorax. They definitely won't be bored at IOA!

If they're into water rides, you'll get drenched, so we did those right before we left the park. The three of them are fairly close to each other.

I have 4 kids and when we went they were 9, 7, 5, and 2. There were PLENTY of rides they could all ride on. My girls loved that tea cup like ride in the superhero area and rode it twice, I think! We didn't ride on Spiderman but plan to on our next trip. They have an arcade but it is crazy expensive!!

The Jurassic park area is cool, the newspaper comic area is lot of fun! Lots of water rides! Of course, the Harry Potter area is great! We spent a lot of time in the Dr. Seuss area also and loved it! Lots of shows and characters to entertain!

In Studios, they have a great kids area that is geared towards smaller kids but even my older ones had a lot of fun there! We saw a short magic show that the kids liked and a character parade. Despicable me is fun!

We hit most of the highlights but didn't get to see everything. We plan to spent time soaking it all in the next time! But there wasn't a time that my kids felt bored or anything. They loved it, even my smallest kiddo!

Thanks mrsabbot!!
Sounds like lots of fun!! Hoping it's warm enough for water activities :) we're going in January!!!
