My mother who is in her 70's will be with us on our trip to Disney, and we will be doing both US and IOA in just one day. We have been before several years ago, but she's had surgery again on the rods in her back, another fusion, this past year and so she needs to be careful with any jarring or serious jerking. So I'm trying to think ahead to rides and what she should not ride. Of course, she's not interested in roller coasters, so Hulk etc are out, heck we don't even ride those. Big Thunder is more my DH and my speed haha! I looked at Universal's disability guide to see what rides with bad backs...heck they list everything! Even ET....uh, yeah. My mom can ride ET, it's one of her favs.

To give an idea, at Disney, she says she'll be ok with these that I was not sure of:
Tower of Terror, since it's pretty smooth up and down
7DMT, says she thinks that one will be ok
Barnstormer, she likes this one

She cannot do:
Splash, pretty big jerk on the last hill and hitting down
Big Thunder, Everest, Space, Dinosaur (way too jerky)

We have not been since HP expansion to DA, since Minions, Transformers etc. so I'm not sure about those if she can ride. We want to but I need to know if she can. And if you could give any others she should not ride I would appreciate it.

She cannot ride Simpsons or FJ, she rode them in the past and it was too violent. Thanks!

No to Minions, unless she uses the stationary seats. No to Transformers (like Spiderman, it jerks you around a bit). Yes, to Gringotts, I think. The cars do get thrown about a bit, but if she can do Barnstormer it should be OK.

Thanks! Yes I was wondering about Gringotts. DH and I are huge HP fans, so that one is not to be missed for us. I'd love for Mom to be able to ride but I am spoiler free on the ride so I have not seen video etc of what it's like. So I am not sure how rough Gringotts really is and whether she can handle it.

Any ride motion will be "more" the further back you go. With any ride, try to sit in the front row, even if you have to wait, and that should also help a bit.
