Hi! This is my first visit to the US boards - very cool. DS has just turned 5 and has new interest in lots of attractions at US. We are Disney fanatics and have planned several trips for the coming year: Christmas 2003 and May 2004 for certain. We hadn't planned to stay at any of the US hotels on this coming trip, but the Fotl access seems like the way to go. I'm just wondering, overall, if we should wait until the May trip to try US/IoA or go ahead and book one night at one of the Universal hotels over Christmas. This will be our first Christmas trip and I am already nervous about the crowds, so it makes me even more nervous to try something new that I'm not familiar with when there are extreme crowds. On the other hand, even I am getting the bug to go there. ADVICE PLEASE?!?!

aprilzw,

We too are Disney nuts (just bought an extra 150 pts. at BCV -- right before they sold out!) but we found the courage to make ressies for HRH Club level (first time in "concierge" settings for us) for 12/27. I'm also very curious as to what type of crowds we'll be dealing with then.

I hope FOTL should take care of any problems...

Book it!!!!! WE love Disney and love Universal just as much. Different experience, but great as well.

You may find that you love Universal more!!!! ;)

Fredonna, you will be very happy you booked at HRH. Crowds on 12/27 will be 30,000+ per park. Park hours will also be around 9-11, so you'll have plenty of time to see things.

30,000!!!! That's alot of people. Out of curiousity, what is the capacity at each park?
