We are going (I hope) to Disney next February. I have been watching prices and Providence, RI to Orlando was $254.00 per person yesterday. I thought this was an outrageous price. Today, the same route is up to $321.00 per person. I always book everything myself, and between park passes, hotel on-site, and airline tickets it is not a cheap trip. Believe me, I am a budget nut and follow these boards religously.

Please tell me that prices will go down!!! I also search with Travelocity and it has the same price. OH NO!!!!

My other question is: When prices go down on a ticket already purchased, do they give you back the money in cash or a credit for a future flight? How long are these credits usually good for?

Thanks for your help.

Prices will definitely come down on that route in the fall for February travel, except possibly for peak travel days around President's Day. If your fare goes down on one of the full service major carriers, you can request a credit voucher for the difference. The voucher is valid for one year.

If you purchase on Southwest (won't be available until the fall) and the fare lowers, you can request the difference in the form of a credit that is valid for use up to one year from ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE.

In both cases, your exact itinerary must be available at the lower fare.

We live in southern MA too, but we prefer going out of Boston.

Boston to MCO right now is $235.50 via non-stop Delta Express.

I checked Delta from PVD and it was $253.50.

I know most people don't like Boston, but I thought I'd tell you it's a little cheaper.

We're waiting till October to purchase because I've been hearing that is when December fares will go on sale.

Good luck!

for last feb 9th I bought my tkt jan 15th for a fare of 98 round trip then at the last min changed it and the fare then became 129 round trip.(normal fare from pit to mco is between 196.50 -225) the specials for feb won't be out until nov/ dec...and then in jan there will be specials as well.. this is too far in advance for a special to be out yet.

Thank you both so much. I really love to take the family to Disney and now that I am a SAHM I must watch all costs.

Again, I really appreciate your insight and help.

I live about 1/2 hour away from where you are, and what I ended up doing was going out of Harford, all of the airlines are about $100-120 cheaper per person round trip from Hartford, and I booked a service to take all 4 of us to the airport, it is $140 round trip for the four of us to be taken to Hartford Airport, so on my December 2001 trip I saved about $260.00 going out of Hartford instead of Providence you might want to check that option out.

Which service takes you to Hartford? Do they pick you up at your home (I was thinking about parking the car)?

Also, which airlines have you flown out of Hartford?

Thanks for the great info.

I sent you a private message with the details, but I forgot to answer one questions for you, they do pick you up at home, and drive in the snow, you don't have to or shovel yourself out of pay for parking.

We put a hold on two tickets last night from Albany NY to Orlando @ $287 TOTAL for 2 roundtrips with USAIR. When we went to confirm and purchase today the price had gone up over $100 to $399 for 2 roundtrips.

Good morning Shelby2001. What a nice day out. Sorry to be so confused, but when you said you sent me a private msg, did yoiu mean you sent it to my email address?

I went to the home page of this forum and at the bottom I saw a line that said "Private message". Is this what you are talking about? When I clicked on it there was only a message from Webwizemom.

I am sorry, but I don't know about this private messaging stuff. You guidance would be appreciated.

I've been waiting and waiting to book air fare for DS and friends to leave BOS on 6/4 and return on 6/8. Last Fri., just a few hours before USAir's sale ended, I got seats for them -- $93.50, including taxes, etc., round trip. That was last Fri. at approx. 6:30 p.m. Sat. I checked the fares at about 7:30 a.m. The same trip was $199.50. The sale had ended at midnight, information I got from these boards. So keep your eyes open. And realize that Travelocity and Expedia, both of which I use frequently, don't always reflect current sales being offered by the individual airlines. And pay close attention to Beverly Lynn. That's one lady who knows her stuff!!!

Sorry Mom of Twins I will just post it here, I booked my flights out of Bradley in lieu of Providence, on Delta, they have all the airlines that Providence does, United
Us Air Delta Midway, check the airline carriers on line for a price for the time you want, I checked last night and the airlines were offering Feb 2002 flights from Bradley at about 180.00 round trip, these were non-stop flights, and Delta is offering a special if you book on-line by 5-31-01 you receive an additional 10% off. As for the service we got you will need to check your telephone book yellow pages under airport transportation, and yes they come right to your house, and check your flights for any cancellations or delays, you don't have to
pay for parking and they will do the driving in the snow.
If you have anymore questions please feel free
