US Airways out of MSP

Has anyone used US Airways out of MSP to MCO?? Anything I should know about this airline? We would be driving to MSP and then flying US airways to MCO. Where could we park our car for 12 days?? Has anyone booked there tickets over the internet before throught the airlines website?? Thanks for any and all info!

Can't help with MSP but we've bought USAir tickets over the internet several times with no problems. Just be sure to print out your itinerary and ahve it with you.

I just booked our tickets through Expedia.com for our trip in November on USAir. I was checking all the air fare sites numerous times daily and that was the site with the best price for the times we wanted. All four of us are flying from BWI to MCO for Thanksgiving for $800. They also gave me the option of purchasing paper tickets. I had to do this since my printer isn't working right now. I didn't want to take a chance and wait since the flights were selling out quickly. I picked my seats on Expedia so I know we'll all be sitting near each other.

The price I found on Expedia, I couldn't get within $40 of on the USAir website. Good luck!

Not used US Air out of MSP as we prefer direct flights on the charter airline, but I can help you with parking. You can park anywhere in MSP's four huge ramps as long as you like - just be prepared to pay for it. Your other alternative is to look into the off-site parking lots - and by offsite, I am talking a 5-8 minute shuttle ride - Park N Fly and one other one is over there VERY close to the airport and at cheaper prices. If you go to MSP's website and click on their Parking link, you should be able to find more informatino on the on- and off-site options for you.

I flew US Airways out of MSP last summer to Tampa. Flight left on time, but we were delayed at our connection in Pittsburgh...which i guess is known for it's bad weather in the summer.

As far as parking, I used a park and fly hotel for $99 for the night's stay and parking for 10 days. The way I figure, your going to stay somewhere that night anyway...so the parking is virtually free.

I don't know what rate you would get from US airways.

I can tell you that I'm getting $188 roundtrip from MSP on United via hotwire.com.
We have to make 1 stop in Chicago, but it seemed like a great deal to me.

Last year we flew US Air from MSP to Tampa. I was pleased with the airline. Will you be staying overnight in Minneapolis? If so, there are several hotels close to the airport where you can stay and than leave you car parked in their lot. The hotel will bring you to the airport. We live about an hour away from the airport and usually use one of the off-site parking lots, which are nice because your car is in a secure location. We just got back tonight from a weekend business trip and used "Park-N-Go". The rate is under $10.00/24 hours.
