Just curious as to how the flight went? I've never flown US Airways - is there comfortable seating? drinks offered? snack? Thanks for any info.

I used to use USAIR routinely to fly from PHL to MCO.Now I use AirTran or SW. I love SW and those DING fares are unbeatable. I think USAIR has seen it's better days and cannot keep up with the competition any more. The flights were comfortable and there were snacks but nothing to warrant the extra price....and the inevitable delays.

My mother flies from PHL to MCO all the time to visit me, I have not flown that route since last year. Her last visit was in July/Aug - drinks, but no snacks provided. I think you can purchase their box lunches (EXPENSIVE). She is usually on a 757 - not overly spacious, but for her traveling alone it is fine. She has had great on time performance - rarely late unless it is weather related - beyond the control of the airline. Her last flight back to PHL in August had to turn back on the runway due to mechanical problem (and she flew out the day all the new restrictions went into place early in the mornng). This is a first for her in over 16 visits in three years. She has always remarked how well they treat her!

I was just looking for flights for her to come down on XMAS Eve, and the flight we had looked at last week was sold out $190 vs $254/$299 now, so I put her on SWA for $143 (inc tax/fees).

In the past, I was always able to get good prices on US Air, as we were usually flexible in her dates.times. She was familiar with the gates, etc at both ends - so there was some comfort level there.... I do always check SW now, since she flew them to Austin and at least is familiar enough with the PHL end.

just flew it down to MCO (8/25) and back last night. It did the job, got us there and back safely. Going down the cabin was very cold, everyone wanting blankets and my air didn't shut off. We flew a 737 down and a 757 back. We had a soft drink and bag of teeny tiny pretzels both ways.
