US Airways changed my departing flight by 2 hours and 40 minutes earlier than what my original flights was. It is a non-stop flight and the last non-stop of the day. Do I have any options other than accepting the change?

Basically you will have 3 options.... if they offer you all three.

1. accept
2. change to another flight that fits your needs
3. get a refund.

If I recall, US Air isn't as generous with changes as Airtran or some of the others. Your best bet is to call and ask what your options are.

That's what I figured. I ended up accepting the time change. The only other flights they had were either too early or had a stop. Fares with other carriers are way more than what I paid. Guess I will just have to live with it.

Hi. I am flying US air next Saturday out of Boston on a ff ticket for a quick weekend trip and your post has me really nervous! Can you tell me how much before your flight was it changed? I wouldn't mind flying earlier but I will be really sad if I have to fly out a lot later.

Thanks!

My flight isn't until mid December. I never received anything from them about the time change. I just happened to check my flight reservation while I was logged into my DM account.

Oh wow! They didn't even send you an email? That makes me even more nervous. My brother booked my flight with his points, so I am not even sure if I have the option of checking my reservation.

Thanks so much for the quick reply!

Delta just did the same to me - also by about +2 hours on the return. In order to book a different flight, it will cost $150 PER TICKET!!! So, I guess I am stuck with the new flight... But at least they emailed me about the change. I used miles to purchase the tickets -- and since the flights are free, I guess I can't complain :)

I travel a lot (and I mean a LOT) for work, and this is the first time that I have had an airline actually change a reserved flight on me. Of course, I have been through normal delays, etc...

Kristi, you (or your brother) are able to check your flight anytime either online or by calling the airlines reservations phone number. You will just need your confirmation or ticket number.

Thank you! It occurred to me two seconds later that I had the confirmation email with my number so I checked it and it was not changed!:cool1: So I have stopped freaking out. Now I just have to get through the next 7 days and I am off to my first MNSSHP!!

So excited!!!

Check out the scheudle to see if there's another flight that will meet your needs. My last 2 trips to WDW were on Delta using miles and both times one of my flights was changed. I looked at the schedule, found a different flight that I liked, called them and they moved me to it without charge. You probably cannot do it online or they will charge, you have to call.
