How does US Airways board their planes? Do they board the rear of the aircraft first or the front of the aircraft first?

It has been about a year since I have last flown US Airways but I am pretty sure when I last flew them they boarded by zones (zig zagging over the airplane). They didn't do front to back or back to front.

Outside of F class boarding first, I have found no specific pattern to the boarding zones. I think it's more like a V board filling in window seats and middle seats and continuing through towards the back of the plane, then filling in aisles, but the rear of the plane always seems to be last.

Dividend Preferred members are in zones 1 & 2 regardless of where they sit. If you have the USAirways Master Card, you are also zone 2. Then after that I think it goes up to zone 7, depending on how big the plane is.

I've heard them call DDM Preferred to board, but never Master Card or Visa holders. I do not have a USAirways Master Card but do have a US Airways Visa. Am I entitled to Zone 2?

I think if you has the US Master Card attached to your dividend miles number, your BP automatically prints zone 2.

I don't see anything in the Visa listing that as a benefit.

It is listed for the MC:

Thanks for checking. I guess it is worth a call to find out. They do not offer the DDM Visa any more. I've had it for a long time. Now everything is MC with US Airways. Oh well...
