Hi

I'm flying with US Airways in Sept to California. I've flown with them before but several years ago. Before I travel I like to check baggage weight limits and, just for interest, the onboard movie/tv info so I can get an idea how I will pass the 8 hours. Well, I can't find this for US Airways because I can only find the US site. That site states that bags are charaged but I'm assuming this is for internal bookings not long haul. Can anyone help me find the long distance travel info on bags and, if poss, the onboard entertainment listings?

Thanks

Hi I flew with US Airways last year and this year, not sure on the TV part but the baggage allowance is 2 x 23kg plus 1 x 18kg carry-on and a laptop bag, the charge is for the short haul flights.

From the US website: http://www.usairways.com/awa/content/traveltools/baggage/baggagepolicies.aspx

Some passengers are exempt** from the first and second checked bag fee, but not any applicable weight fees:

All Dividend Miles Preferred members (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Chairman's Preferred)
Passengers traveling to and from Europe, or to and from Asia
Star Alliance Silver and Gold status members
Unaccompanied minors (with US Airways unaccompanied minor paid assistance)
Confirmed First Class and Envoy passengers at time of check-in
Active U.S. military personnel with ID (first through third bag up to 100 lbs/45 kg each free of charge)
Baggage fees and rules of the operating carrier apply on all flights operated by one of our codeshare partners.
