and, as a big Disney fan, we wanted to include some reputable charities for family and friends to donate in his memory. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. He loved Disney and loved reading all of the contributions here. Thank you.

So sorry for your loss.

Give Kids the World is mentioned frequently here. Make A Wish is always a good organization Both sponsor children to visit Disney World/Disneyland.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Give Kids the World is a great charity that helps ill children (make-a-wish) visit Disneyworld.

My prayers are with you. How about Make A Wish? They send a lot of sick children to Disney.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. There are absolutely no words to convey the pain and heartache of losing a child. My prayers and condolences to you and your family.
Give Kids the World is a charity that gives children with critical illnesses vacations to Disney World.

Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions. Michael sure loved Disney and I’m hopeful that he now has an all time Fast Pass for every attraction.

So sorry for your loss. I agree that give kids the world would be a wonderful choice. If you don't know much about them, when a kid makes a wish to come to Disney or Universal, that's where they stay. It is a village filled with small twin houses and a few apartment style rooms that are all ADA accessible and can accommodate the many medical needs of the children visiting. There is unlimited ice cream from breakfast until at least 9 pm (which is one of the kids favorite parts). There is an ADA accessible playground and pool. All the meals are provided for the families at the village for free while they're there so parents don't have to worry about the cost of food in the parks. They have halloween and christmas events every week. Disney sends characters over to meet children twice a week and Universal once a week. I think Sea World sends characters too. It provides the kids with a much calmer, low key way to meet the characters. They even have 4 ADA accessible rides for the kids on-site. It is truly an amazing place where kids can forget about being sick or different for awhile. Many of the kids can't spend the entire day in the parks because of health issues so it's nice for them to have such a fun place to come back to after a day in the park.

So sorry for your loss.

I will also suggest Give Kids the World. A marvelous highly rated charitable organization that survives on donations and volunteers.
