Urgent Dining Help Needed!

Mmm, I agree. WOuld love to eat there but I'm not a big meat eater and the oly thing I fancy are the desserts...

We have a lot in common. lol. I appear to be chasing you around these threads. Sorry, I'm not some Disney stalker.:scared1:

Will do, but like you, I'm a bit put off by the menu - veal? Hmmm.

I'm the same. I don't agree with veal or foie gras, and the foie gras is a compulsory part of the meal as it is part of the set starter......

Yuk. Is there a menu anywhere that I could have a quick look at? Do the princesses ever appear at the character meals other than this one? I have a princess mad DD.

I have completely hijacked this thread. Sorry.

No sorry I dont think they ever appear at any other meals.
They also have pasta as a main and I think there is now a lamb option.
The starter is 3 small portions of salmon, foie gras and something else - no choice and the dessert is a selection of things as well.
Theres quite a bit of info on teh Auberge thread and lots of photos

Hi-

Have you looked in the Auberge thread in the Restaurant Reviews sticky? That might help you decide.

No, the princesses don't appear at any other meals.

The fois gras is only a little part of the Auberge starter. I'm sure if you wanted you could ask them to replace it with the other bit of the starter (I've eaten it twice but can't remember what it is!).
Princesses don't appear anywhere else.
I agree The Steakhouse is good food and service although I wouldn't describe it as romantic, more cavernous! The Blue Lagoon IS romantic but the food and service we've had there on 3 occasions mean we won't be going there again. Annettes is great, but not really comparable to Walts and far too busy to be romantic.

So basically - if you want to see a princess (other than in the parade) you have to eat at Auberge. I've had a look at the menu and it doesn't appeal. I'll have to have a serious think.

You could try going for the daily meet and greets, but the queues for these can get lengthy.........

Where's my bouncing pumpkin thingy? I followed the instructions! I've got it now!

I might just have a think about it. I can't make reservations until November so I'll agonise over it until then.

Joolz don't worry too much about the Princesses. I haven't set foot in the Auberge, and we've managed 2 Princess meet n greets with minimum waiting, and we have 4 Princess autographs (plus all of their princes, except Belles). We only have Snow White and Ariel to get, to complete the set.

In January, midweek, you should be fine if your DD wants to meet a princess or 2.

.

I think it maybe a tomato and mozzarella kebab thing or a stuffed tomato.

They are really friendly in ADC.;)

We've managed to swap adult desserts for childrens (My friend and I are big kids :lmao: ) so I'm sure they would swap your foie gras for something else or for the kids one which is definitely a tomato and mozzerella salad.

I like the food there , I don't love it and it is pricey but I love the ambience of the restaurant and my DD loves meeting the Princesses and Princes in a character meal setting so that's why we go.

There is a vegetarian option -filled pasta I think :)

The kid's fish candy looked tasty . My DD ate nearly all of it :thumbsup2 and that's a very good recommendation as she can be very fussy

Yep. I hope there will be a santa version nearer to Christmas! :goodvibes

Still not sure about Auberge. Sometimes it's better if you don't know about these things... The more choice I have, the worse I am. I want to make it the best trip I can, but I'm now getting lost in the details and losing sight of why I booked in the first place. However, self-awareness won't stop me from continuing to do this!
