Happy Aniversary to you both, Jules. I really wouldn't get too upset - Anniversaries are really for the two of you (apart from the biggies - Silver, Ruby, etc). I certainly don't remember other people's.

If it's any consolation, we hardly ever remember ourselves. Matt's Mum is very good and, when a card drops through the door bearing her writing, I say, "It must be our Anniversary; your Mum has sent a card" . At least you and Ian remember your own!

I've been married ... er .... clunk ... whirrr .... take two .... add four ... 15 years on August 24th this year. I never remember and always need "prompting" nearer the time to buy a card. I know my MIL always sends us a card but I'm never sure if that's in sympathy to my DW as we're still together?!

July really seems to be a big month for them. We are going to a Silver anniversary party on Friday and it's my Ex Mother-in-Law's 35th on Monday. I thinks she is feeling a little bit down about hers, everyone is too busy to help them celebrate and ever her kids don't seem to want to make the effort to visit them.

Sue, I had a similar thing to you. I still get Christmas cards sent to me and ex and we split up about 3 years ago

Anyway I truely hope you have many more happy years together

Glad you had a good evening. I must say this year DH and I had a break down in communication as our wedding anniversary was the day we left for our West Coast road trip and when DMIL gave us the card at the airport I said I had one! So DH made a quick visit to the card shop at Heathrow to get me a card as he thought we weren't giving cards due to the fact we were travelling

We met on 15th September, got engaged the following 15th September and got married the following 11th September. DH always thought our anniversary was 15th September until unfortunately that awful day in 2001 and now its imprinted on his memory for the wrong reason.

And they wear less clothes. I did try to dress up for our anniversary once, but Matt didn't go for the thick tan tights and calf-length orange jodhpurs. You men just don't appreciate us.
