UPS lied!..no wait..they're just stupid.

I have to say that we have wonderful UPS drivers on our routes in both NH and FL. They do the extra things to make the customer happy. My only complaint about UPS is the service that drops the package at the local post office for delivery by US Mail. We just had a problem with a gift delivery today. I know that this is a "budget" service selected by the seller and frequently not explained to the buyer. In NH our address for each service is different including the town (we are serviced by another town's post office - don't ask. :sad2: We always ask what service is being used so the correct address is provided.) So the "wrong" post office sends the package back. The problem is with USPS and the seller not UPS.

The service that I was thrilled to see go out of business was DHL. Every shipment had a problem. It never failed. I ordered My Twinn dolls for my two nieces at different times and they only shipped by DHL at the time. It is a miracle that the dolls ever arrived.

I saw the fedex truck stop across the street from our work. the guy runs to the office next door, knocks, no one answers so he starts running back to the truck. we accept packages for the neighbors from UPS and I was by the front door and I asked who the package was for...

the guy looks at me, and then at the address abouve my head, ON MY OFFICE DOOR, and realizes it is very similar to the one on the package! when I am signing for MY package he tells me "lucky thing he looked at my address" LUCKY? its your job!!!

drive the truck, get the package with this number ot the buildig of the same number!!!

I got a new FedEx driver about 6 months ago. Nice kid, but he does something very strange. He will leave my package at my front door. He always attaches one of the green door knob hanger things TO THE PACKAGE saying "left at front door".:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Do you think his coworkers ever get together and gossip about what he actually does with all of those door knob hangers? He probably has a nickname behind his back like "door knob hanger stealer" You know how office gossip is.:rotfl2:

He really is a nice guy. We chat on the first of the month as I am in a wine club and have to sign for the package. I really just want to say something, but I don't.

The strange thing is that I get UPS pkgs ALL the time. The driver always puts them in my barn. I have no idea what possessed him to put it in the truck.

We have a great UPS driver. We get packages fairly regularly from UPS for my grandfather, and a lot of them are heavy, industrial size things (my grandfather is a sewing machine mechanic for big sewing machines, like the ones used to sew parachutes and things like that). So like I said, since the guy is always at our house, he knows us, and since we give him a nice gift around the holidays, and a tip when he delivers one of the heavy machines, he always gives us great service. Never leaves things at the door, if no one is home, he comes back the next day.

Now the FedEx people.... oh boy. We don't live in a very safe neighborhood, so we really don't want people leaving stuff on the stoop, cause odds are, it won't be there later. Well I ordered something that was being delivered by FedEx. I knew when it was supposed to be delivered, and my grandparents were going to be home, so they would take the package. They're sitting around, no door bell, no knock. Later, they go out to walk the dog and see the package just sitting there. Like I said, they were home all day, they had the windows open, the lights on, you could make a reasonable assumption that someone was home. And it's not like it was even snowing or bad weather! It was just a bit chilly, but otherwise gorgeous day! And if you're going to leave it outside the door, why not just ring the bell?

Now, my UPS driver is absolutely amazing - He happens to be the driver for both my house and my business. He's so fabulous, I can't even begin to explain the lengths to which he goes to make everyone on his route happy. He is absolutely adored in our community.

I think it's the quality of the driver - not the actual company that makes the difference.

My mail lady is absolutely phenomenal too - just love her.
Go give 'em hell - leave a package in a truck - that is the stupidest thing ever.

Totally agree it's the quality of the driver.

My UPS guy is FAB. Love him to death. He's been my neighborhood guy for years and years.

My FedEx person...well, up until a month or so ago, it changed a lot. Unlike UPS, FedEx drivers are independent contractors, so it seems like they can come and go. I had serious problems with the first few FedEx drivers that worked my neighborhood, but this gal I have now is pretty good.

Usual mailman is good to. I get my mail between 10:30am and 11am every day. I always know when I have a sub...never get my mail until late afternoon.

Give em heck when you call Jennasis

My UPS driver is great - same guy for years. Fed Ex, on the other hand, can't even seem to find my house 90% of the time.

Our guys does this too! And I always wonder about it? Thinking if I didn't find the package, then I wouldn't find the note either....it's kinda funny.:confused3

Would love to hear an update...how did they try to get out of that one???

Called and was firm but polite/pleasant. The CS guy seemed mortified when he finally understood that the vehicle the driver put the box in wasn't mine. He apologized profusely and said a manager would follow up.

Well, turns out they didn't lie...they're just morons.

In their infinite wisdom, the delivery guy DID deliver the items on the 18th...and put them in a truck. As in, INSIDE SOME VEHICLE ON MY PROPERTY.

Wouldn't wanty to walk the extra 20 feet to the house, when you can just shove it inside some random vehicle on my property. Problem is, it WASN'T MY TRUCK. After much gnashing of teeth I found it in my friends truck.

This UPS driver just won the prize for being extra stupid. Sheesh what a moron.

Interesting. Whenever I don't answer the door if I don't hear it, doorbell doesn't work, or we're not home, it's just left right outside the door. Sometimes, they put it at the back door and that's fine too as no one can see it there.

I ordered my DH his Hanukkah gifts last Friday and Amazon said delivery would be after Dec 25th...they came today by way of the USPS! YIPPEE!
