Ok, so I'm having a prescription delivered UPS from my pharmacy. It's not something you can get at CVS. My doctor increased my dosage and I'll need it soon-before the weekend. That won't be a problem for the pharmacy to have it here by Friday, but I don't know about delivery. They require signature confirmation, and I don't have anywhere else to send it to right now. If I come home around 5 and they've already been here, do you think I'll have time to go get it from the distribution place? I'll call as soon as I get home. I can leave a signed note on my door, but since it's medication, I'm iffy about that with the temperature and with neighbors, of course.

Why cant they deliver to your local pharmacy and you pick it up from there?

It's an independent specialty pharmacy.

Any ideas on missing the UPS delivery? I'm concerned since it's the weekend.

Have you tried calling UPS customer service? You may be able to have the package held (without them attempting delivery) at a local UPS location for pick up Friday after 5 or on Saturday.

Hmm...Saturday pickup is possible? Actually, I'll technically need it on Friday, as I'm one short for Friday. I'm not normally this unprepared, but they doubled my dosage!

Call UPS and see if you can pick it up TOMORROW. If they have it. You can track a package at ups with a tracking number. You can find it where it is. And then plan accordingly.

I know I was able to leave a signed note once giving them authority to just leave it (but it wasn't medication) I know when we used to get Beer of the Month I had to be home to accept the package.

I've let them leave meds when it wasn't so darn hot! The website says they can deliver "today or tomorrow" so hopefully they can deliver tomorrow. Both days I'll be home at least an hour earlier than normal. If I knew what time, I'd sneak out of my workshop early, or get there late to deal with delivery.

I'll definitely ask for the tracking, and talk to UPS. I didn't think of calling them before it was delivered to make arrangements.
