please help,we have ressies for june for eight nights at beach club villas 2bdr and studio for a magical gathering of 10. we booked the dreammaker pkg using uph.i can't figure out if there would be a savings using 10 day myw.i know i don't need ten day but we will be arriving early and leaving late for a total of nine days.also since we will not be doing sit down meals every night what do you think of the meal option.we would be initially taking myw plus since we would want the same freedom as uph.thaks for all your help.

Well even with the MYW plus you still wont have quite the same options because with the UHP you get unlimited access to all 4 major parks PLUS unlimited access to PI, DQ and the waterparks. With MYW you only get as much access as the pluses that you get. I am pretty sure the Plus's will not allow you to hop between the minor parks.

I have a very similiar problem. We're (5 Adults 10+ and 2 kids 3-9) staying at POFQ from April 20-26 with the Dreammaker. I cannot decide to stay with it or MYW and maybe add the dining package. I think the ability to do more sit downs and snacks, etc. without worrying about the prices all the time is a great thing. I just wonder if we would really get the use out of it. We are all basically 1st timers, unless you count my trips as a kid 20+ years ago, so we want to see as much as we can and if the kids want to eat somewhere, I'm not sure I want to say no. We do plan to do 1-2 character meals. Any ideas, will the dining be too much of a hassle? Thanks!

Elfbo is correct that you will lose some of that freedom that the UPHs would give you. However, I don't consider the MYW passes to be that restrictive. You will still be able to hop between the major parks as many times as you please for however many days you've purchase. And you will still be able to visit, PI, DQ, WWoS and the waterparks for however many pluses you have on the tickets. And if you use a plus today to get into a waterpark, it will take another "plus" off of your ticket to get into DQ in the evening.

Since you have villas reserved, you will probably be doing at least breakfast in your room each morning and possibly other meals as well. You say that you would not be eating a sitdown meal each day. I don't see the meal option as a wise alternative.

To be honest, I think that you should stick with your original package unless some sort of package discount comes out for June that would include the villas.

You would really need to evaluate the costs of both and decide whether the MYW is a better choice for you. The good thing is that you would not have to think about how much you're spending on food while you're there. The drawback is the tendancy to make sure that you got your money's worth by the end of the trip.

For my own family (2 adults w/2 children over 10), the cost of a rack rate room, Disney's ticket prices and the $35/person/night is a little high for our own touring style. We would never spend that amount on food each day and we usually do a sitdown meal everyday.

thanks for all your help,i think we will stick with the uph.as far as the meal plan.my daughter figured it comes to nintey dollars a day and they don't think they would be spending that.she has four year old twins so she does not plan on many sit down meals.i am going to try and get a AAA discount thru a modification has anybody done that?

As far as I know there is no UPH any more. Magic your Way has replaced them.
That would be true for anyone wishing to book a package today. But the OP made ressies before the introduction of MYW and Disney is honoring those prior ressies with Dreammaker packages while allowing those guests to switch to MYW if they wish.
