My family wants to do 1 water park and DQ for 1 day. Is the UPH the best value for this? We will be at the "parks" for 4 full days.

Which sight has the correct prices for advance ticket purchase? Allears and mousesavers differ in their prices.

Thanks,

MMCD

The cost cost the UPH is $232.17/$186.38 (adult/child) for 4 days/3nights, advance purchase. You can get a 4-day PHP for $218/$172 at Ticketmania. DQ will cost you another $24/$20 at Ticketmania, making the cost for the venues that you want $242/$192 at Ticketmania.

However, the UPHs must be purchased in advance to get the lower price. That means that you cannot drop your first or last day of stay. If you're staying at a WDW for 5 nights, you have to buy a 5-night UMP when purchasing in advance.

You can drop the first or last night from your UMP if you purchase them at checkin. Then price of a 4day/3night UMP is $251.34/$201.29. This makes them more expensive than the 4-day PHP & DQ passes at Ticketmania.

Lastly, if you get the Mousesaver Newsletter, the prices for the passes are even lower using the Ticketmania link.

I see that I can't see. I'm not comparing the nights and days right. Mousesavers is nights/days while Allears specifies days/nights.

I did not know that you can only drop days at check-in. I always thought you can drop days at the advance price.

Yes, I have the mousesavers link to ticketmania.

I can't get through the toll-free# at paramount to verify if they are giving out DQ tickets with HP passes.

What is UMP?

Thanks,

MMCD

UMP=Unlimited Magic Pass

It's just the newest name for the UMP=Ultimate Park Hopper.

:)

Also, if Paramount is giving DQ passes with Park Hoppers then it will be on the 6 and 7 day hoppers. More than what you need right now, but something to save for your next trip. We bought 7 day hoppers on our last trip and with the day that we had left from before, we now have enough days left so that we won't have to buy any hoppers for our next visit. Yeh!!! :Pinkbounc :hyper:

Just for the sake of accuracy:

It's actually a former name of what is now the Unlimited Park Hopper. The same ticket has been known by many incarnations over the years - Unlimited Magic Pass, Be Our Guest, Length of Stay, etc.

There is a trick if you want to get UPH or UMP or whatever for less than your entire stay. Book seperate back to back reservations, one for first night without passes, then 3 nights with the passes (which gives you four days). You can do the same thing for your last night if you want to drop that too.

The only draw back is you do have to check out and in again and could need to change rooms. However you can note that you want same room on your reservations.

This is not my original idea, I got it from Mousesavers!

And you need to put down two (or three) deposits doing it this way as well.

Maybe I've just been lucky, but in the 6 trips I've taken in the last 3 years but I have never had a problem dropping the first day, the last day or both (depending on our plans) from the UPH. I ask and they have always been very accommodating.

You can do that with no problem when purchasing your UPH's at your resort when you check in. But you will pay the higher gate price for them.

If you want to get them for the lower advance purchase price, you have to get them through CRO/WDTC. They are tied to you resort reservation and must be purchased for all people and for all days of your stay. You cannot drop days from an advance purchased UPH.

That's why some people do the extra reservation. That way they get the UPH's at the lower advance price on one reservation and don't have to have it (or pay for it) for day(s) on the other reservation(s).
