I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's when you booked. At least for those with OBB discounts you're locked into the price for all categories as of the booking date. I imagine the policy is the same for non-OBB, but am not sure.

Sorry, but incorrect.

Out of curiosity I just logged completely out and cleared the cache for a browser I rarely use and looked at the prices - then I went to another browser where I was logged in. I can change for a lower price than I could book the same cabin new. So clearly it is the price it was when you booked - for a simple cabin/category change.

If you are totally changing cruises, that is the current day's price.

I just rang Disney as didn't see notification you had all kindly replied
They quoted me the price as it is today not on opening day
Are you saying it should be opening day difference?
All I want to do is see price from inside to ocean
Same amount of people and date etc

Have you already booked the cruise on your own? If so, you can see what the cost would be yourself. Go into your reservation and click on "change my stateroom" - it will pull up room selection like when you booked it. Select the cabin you want and that will show you the price that it will be. If you want to make the change, go ahead and click on select (I think - not at my computer) and go through the confirmation screen. If there is a difference due that has to be paid you do that then. If no extra is needed yet you can select no payment today. You can cancel the change at any point up to clicking confirm.

Dug720 is correct -- if you modify your current reservation to a different category (same ship, same cruise date, same passengers) then the fare should be the price of that new category on the date you originally booked your current reservation. If you simply called to ask "how much is category X for passengers 1, 2, 3, 4" -- they will give you today's rates. Did you use a TA? The TA should be able to check for you. If you didn't use a TA, you should be able to check it yourself as Doug720 mentions. The good news...if you go ahead with the upgrade it could be less than whatever you were quoted over the phone.

The only time the price is that days "going rate" so to speak, is when you do port upgrades. Those are usually significantly cheaper than going rate or even the day you booked or opening day prices.

If you upgrade at the port, then they will have a certain price for the upgrade based upon what you want to upgrade to and from.

If a person is added to a room, that person will pay the rate that is posted at the time they were added - not the rate at the time the room was booked.

If just upgrading, it's the price at the time of original booking for the new category.
