Upgrading?!?

I have booked thru Virgin Holidays For May 07 and was wondering....

When I get to the resort (POP) and I have a bit of extra cash flowing in my bank, is it possible to upgrade to another resort for a few nights?? Strange Question i know, but I'd love to stay at a deluxe resort. You know, see what all the fuss is abt!!! hehe

I *think* it maybe but you might end up paying rack rate for the room.

we went with airtours this year and booked caribbean beach. my DH did no like caribbean beach so after a few days we changed to AKL directly with disney and didn't mention it to the airtours rep until we'd already moved. disney charged us the price difference between CB and AKL which actually worked out cheaper than if we had booked AKL in the 1st place. Disney even transferred our luggage for us.

thats awesome. Does anyone want to recommend any of the deluxe resorts. I have done POP before, and I reallt like staying at the universal resorts if that helps!!

We are DVC members and our home resort is BCV. I would recommend either the Beach Club or Yacht Club for their location - on the Boardwalk, next to Epcot, easy access by foot or boat to MGM.

well i absolutely loved AKL. To wake to to the giraffes outside my balcony was amazing and the style of the hotel is FAB!

AKL is the best as far as I a concerned, but they are all nice.

We love the Polynesian - great location overlooking MK and great transport! Rooms are lovely too...
