Upgrading Univ Tickets Possible?

I'm planning our Oct. trip, and am trying to decide which tickets to buy. We're staying at Disney, but heading to Univ for a day (possibly two). If I go ahead and just buy the 1 day pass from undercovertourist, and then we decide we want to head back for another day, can I upgrade my ticket at guest services? If so, I'm assuming we would have to do that the same day we go, correct?

If you upgrade, will you come back and report how it went? I'm curious if they give you credit for the price that was paid for the ticket (I'm sure UT got it for a song) or the value of the ticket if you'd purchased it that day at the gate.

Normally you get credit for what you paid...not the gate price since that's usually higher.

The barcode on the ticket lets guest services know how much you paid for the ticket. You will pay the difference from what you paid.

I'll be using my credit card rewards points to get our tickets. Any idea how they would work that? I know the "purchase" option is $670+ if I didn't have any points. Would I get $670 towards an upgrade, the regular cost of the ticket towards an upgrade, or nothing since I used points?

I think you just get the normal gate or online price in that case. I'm not sure which. Guest services will know what they sold the credit card company the tickets for.

That's a really great question. I honestly don't know the answer, but what I could recommend is contacting Guest Services directly at (407) 224-4233. They would be able to answer that question for you with no problem, just to be safe when you visit the parks. Hope you have a great time.
