upgrading to AP

Not done this yet, looking for feedback.

lets say I buy a discount 7 day ph from Parksavers for $462, added it to MDE. Can I upgrade to AP by calling wdw and paying the difference over the phone after adding it online?

I bought disney gc from bjs via discover cc and e bates (saved 11%) and have the $ saved on Disney savings website. Or it is just best to buy the AP via wdw site and use the Disney savings website.

Just looking for best $ savings scenarios

You can upgrade, but you would have to wait until you get to WDW.

So not possible over the phone? Guess I will have to order AP direct from wdw then, no discounted ticket. We were hoping to see AP rates etc online before our stay

If you call they will give you the AP rates over the phone without the AP in hand. Just tell them you plan to upgrade your first day there.
