We are heading to WDW in March with my family plus some extended family who have never been. Me, DH, and the kids will be upgrading to APs when we arrive and purchasing TIW. Is it possible for DH to rope drop MK alone to upgrade our 5 tickets and purchase TIW without the rest of us being present? We really didn’t want to make the newbies wait around right when we all get there while hubby is in line at GS. TIA!

All adults (18 yrs. and up) must be present and have legal photo ID in order to activate new APs.

A workaround can be that all of you go ahead and enter MK using your current regular tickets.
Then, later in the day, before you want to use TIW, you can take a break, head to Guest Relations inside MK and do the upgrades and buy TIW.

Another choice (if you want to use TIW much earlier in the day) is for
all of you (except DH) enter MK using your current regular tickets.
DH can upgrade to AP and buy TIW by himself, then join the group.
Then, later in the day, the rest of you can take a break, head to Guest Relations inside MK and do the other AP upgrades.
