We are headed down with 7 day hoppers I purchased through UT. My youngest daughter (15) has been invited to stay 5 days after we leave. Her bff's family is going down & they arrive a few days before we leave. They are offsite so the room isn't an issue. If my math is correct, it makes the most sense for me to upgrade her to an AP AFTER we use at least one day on our hoppers correct?

7 day hopper (disney price) (not including tax) $399
AP not including tax $654

so an additional $255 gets her a hopper pass correct?

Your math is right, but I might check with other fam first -- upgrade to a 10-day is only $30 more, so if they are planning on doing a water park day or not going to the parks on departure day, the upgrade might be a LOT cheaper even if you add on the waterpark option on top of the hopper.

Even if they are only going in on four of the five days then upgrade the 7-day to a 10-day plus a single day MK is $135 (no tax) which is noticeably cheaper than $255.

So the AP is only the best deal if there will really be 12 days in parks. Or, of course, if you just want the convenience of not having to worry about it.

I like your math better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have their plans already so no waterparks. but I'd only have to buy a single day non hopper non mk ...so your math is WAYYYY better than mine! So I just need to upgrade her existing ticket to a 10 day & then buy her a nonMK one day!

THANK YOU!!!!:worship:

Think it's totaled you pay including tax but there are others on this board more knowledgeable

The difference price of $255 is correct for the upgrade,
plus there would also be an additional $16.58 added to that for tax.

(But, it looks like the OP has decided against doing this upgrade, so it's just an academic exercise at this point.)
