Upgrading to AP before we go

Hello. This is my first post and I could do with some advice. We are going for 4 weeks in October, and an AP will be considerably cheaper than the 21 day and 7 day tickets currently on our package. Is it possible to upgrade to an AP before we leave, or do we have we do it when we arrive in Florida?

My reason is because we want to do an Illuminations cruise and several other things that offer an AP discount and require payment at the time of booking. I might be able to convince Disney to refund me the difference afterwards but it would be better if I could get the discounts automatically. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the DIS. I am afraid that, if you want to upgrade a ticket, it is only possible to do it in person.

Thanks very much, wilma-bride. That’s unfortunate but was what I suspected. I will need to work out another plan.
