I've already purchased a 7 day MYW ticket. Now, we're planning 2 more trips within the year. Can I upgrade my ticket for an annual pass at Guest Relations?

If I do that can I then purchase the DDE there?

Is there any way to do all this before we leave?

Thanks

You can exchange your 7 day MYW ticket for an AP at guest realtions but I don't believe they can help you with the DDE card.

Yes

No. The DDE must be purchased by phone. There is no way to purchase one in person anywhere at WDW. You will have to call DDE after you do the upgrade. Remember that they are only open Mon-Fri from 9-5. Then you will have to go over to the Epcot Guest Relations window after 5:30 pm that day to pick up your temporary letter for DDE.

Sadly no. You're in a Catch-22. You can only do the upgrade at WDW and you can't call to order the DDE until you have the AP or an AP voucher.

I just did this on our last trip. We arrived on Easter Sunday, and after checking in, went to AK. Exchanged our 7 day MYW tickets for DVC discounted AP's at Guest Relations there. (They even kept the exchange to reflect the discounted ticketmania tickets I had), and I paid the difference. The following morning (Monday), we were at MGM and I used my cell phone to call for the DDE card for DH and myself. Within 10 minutes, the letter of confirmation was faxed to MGM's Guest Relations and I used it the rest of our trip, no problem.

I've been home a couple of weeks and still haven't gotten my actual DDE cards yet. Hopefully they'll arrive sonn (we are going to WDW again in June).

Good luck.

From other posts it appears that the letter can only be picked up at Epcot guest relations now.

As of April 4th, they will no longer do this. No more faxes or emails. You must now pick up the temporary letter at Epcot Guest Relations.

Good luck.

I'm going to follow this plan but I was wondering if I could exchange the 7-day ticket at Guest Services at DD? That way I could have time to call DDE enroute to Epcot. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Can you still upgrade if you've already used days on the 7 day ticket? Just wondering... Say you've used 3 days and now decide you want an AP... how would that work?

You can upgrade at any Guest Services at any park or DTD (not in the resorts), to my understanding.

I would think that you could upgrade, even using a used MYW ticket, but I really don't know the answer to that.

Yes, you can do the AP upgrade at DTD, then call DDE but remember that you will not be able to pick up the letter until after 5:30 pm.

Depends on when you used the three days. I am presuming you are talking about MYW tickets.

If you use three days and then do the upgrade within 14 days of the first use of the ticket, they will credit the entire price of your ticket towards the AP. The AP will be back dated to the first day you used an admission. If you have a ticket with the Magic Plus Pack and you have used any of the admissions, you will only be allowed to upgrade to a PAP.

If the three days were used a while ago (outside the 14 day window) you will get a prorated amount based on the unused park admissions that will be applied to the cost of the AP.

I ended up calling DDE office they said they will have it at Epcot BY 5:30 p.m. I'll be there around 5 p.m. and see if they have it. I guess the worst that could happen is that I'd have to wait a few minutes.

Can you only upgrade you MYW tickets to an annual pass if they are tickets only or can you still upgrade them if they are part of a package?
