Upgrading to an AP

A friend booked the Winter package with the new 3 park/4 day promo ticket. He wants to upgrade it to a seasonal AP.

Does he have to have the waterparks on the AP or can he do the 2 park seasonal?

He wont use the waterparks at all.

If he goes to Volcano Bay at all, he will have to get a 3 park AP. Otherwise he should be able to upgrade/downgrade the ticket to the 2 park AP.
