Upgrading to a AP and fast pass question

I have a trip booked in October with 4 day park tickets and hopper. This trip consists of 5 people. I also have a trip booked in December for 6 people. I want to upgrade to a AP on my October trip but i am worried about losing my fast passes for the December trip. My oldest daughter won't be coming in October only in December. If i cancel my tickets on my December reservation will i lose my fast passes? i have not made them yet I'm just thinking ahead. Also does anyone know the price difference between a 4day hopper and a AP? I wasn't sure if the hopper price is included in that.
