Upgrading tickets to Annaul Pass?

We have MYW tickets that are unused. Can we go to the guest sevices at the park and upgrade them to annual passes using our DVC discount. We have not used these tickets and they are new from Ticketmania. Thanks

I converted the value of partially used MYW plus tix AND 1 day PH'ers in Dec. to AP w/DVC discount.

Initially, I wasn't going to use the MYW tix (since we lost the value of the unused plus'es) - only the PH'ers. However, the CM @ guest services insisted that this was a 1 time accommodation & we wouldn't be able to upgrade & use the DVC discount (ever) again. The CM in the window next to him verified same (had never heard that one before?)

We did have to sign a form to complete the tranaction.

FYI, they will input the numbers on the back of the TIX and will only give you credit for the amount you paid (not the face amount of tix.)

We did exactly that! We bought 10 park hopper non-expiring txt from ticketmania thinking we'd save money in the long run, but after we purchased the tx we became DVC members. We arrived Christmas night, had dinner at the CG & stopped at guest svcs in front of MK at about 11pm (wasn't sure they'd still be open, but they were). Not only were we able to exchange them for AP's, but with our DVC disc. we ended up getting money back. We also called DDE the following Tuesday morning (since Monday the 26th was still considered a national holiday) & they sent a temporary card that we were able to pick up at guest svcs. in front of Epcot by 5:30 the same day. It worked out great!

For reassons I won't get into here, we had two ten day MYW tickets with all the bells and whistles including no expiry option sent to us. Each ticket was valued at approx. 404.00 and we also had Anual Premium Passes that were about to expire. We turned them in and got full credit (they had not been used) toward a renewal at the DVC price. Think I had to pay around 14.00 difference. This was all done last month (Jan 27th to be exact).
