Upgrading Tickets at Disneyland (AAA)

I hope someone can explain this to me.

From what I understand, I can buy a ticket and then "upgrade" it at Disneyland.

So, if I get AAA tickets they come with free parking. BUT, they don't have six day tickets available.

So, if I bought a 5 day AAA ticket, how much would it cost to upgrade it to a 6 day ticket? I could see it costing $5 (the difference between what I actually paid ($204) and the 6 day ticket *online* ($209)) or it could cost $45 (the difference from a pre-purchased AAA 5 day ticket ($204)and the gate price of a 6 day ticket AT Disneyland ($249).

Also, would I still have the parking benefit once I upgraded the tickets?

Typically with DLR when you upgrade, you lose the discount. It's not like WDW in that way. I think the parking benefit is a separate voucher/slip, but I"m not 100% sure on that one.
