Upgrading ticket to Seasonal Pass and blackout dates

If I currently have a 2 day +3 free days ticket with no blackout dates, and then I upgrade that ticket to Seasonal Pass (which blocks out all of July), I'm assuming I can't use it in July then?

Maybe update on your last day after you are in the park? That should work. You just couldn’t leave the park and get back in that day...
