Upgrading room at the port

It is unlikely that Disney Cruise will add discounts right before sailing. They might upgrade people who booked Guaranteed rooms, but it is most likely they will make the rooms available for a fee on embarkation day.

We did it once. From an ocean view to obstructed balcony. I forget the price but it was worth it to us. They tell you the price and you can say no if it's not good for you. My advise is to get to the port as early as you can.

Last September we booked an additional cruise last minute to make a B2B We did a GTY. We were given an aft room on The Dream, those rooms have a lot of rumbling so we decided for the first time in 30+ cruises to upgrade at the port. We paid $250 to get a midship room it was worth every penny not to rumble for us.

i see in our sailing that the most expensive rooms like the big suites are still available. I am just wondering, in case the night before our sailing and these rooms are still available, will DCL offer them at a discount?
The cruise will be pulled offline about 3 days prior to embarkation. So if you want to check, be sure to look earlier than the night before sailing. As others have said, if those rooms are still available on embarkation day you can upgrade at port. It is discounted but going from an inside to a suite will still be $$$.
