upgrading resort after free dining expired

We are booked at pop for the fall. I am thinking about upgrading to CSR. Do I need to do this before the deadline for free dining expires or can I do this before 45 days? Thanks!

Before the booking window expires (now up to July 26). More importantly, before the allotted rooms for the FD promo are gone at CBR. Not all resorts or room categories are available for FD for all dates, even at the start of the promotion booking period.
