Lucky me- won 4 two day tix and a night stay. Not sure which hotel is included in this package. My question is can I pay for an upgrade to perhaps the GCH or concierge. Maybe even another night.

You would have to read the terms of the prize you won. Sometimes with contests things are able to be upgraded, other times they are not. I would highly doubt you could switch hotels if the prize is not for the GCH. Generally the prize location cannot be switched, but, again, it all depends upon what is in the terms of the prize / contest. Read the fine print of whatever you entered. It will have your answers.

I won a trip earlier this year that included two nights at a Disney Hotel and four - three day one park a day tickets. I had to fill out a questioner selecting which hotel I would like to stay at and three date choices. I asked for the Disneyland Hotel and got it but they gave me my second date choice. The prize letter said it was a standard view room that was not upgradeable and neither are my tickets. I am super grateful for the prize I won but I did hope to be able to add some extra to it. I also wanted to extend my stay and they offered me additional nights at a great rate (for a Disney hotel) so we are staying two extra nights. We are going in December and this will be the trip of all trips. I don't know how or when I will ever be able to give my kids a trip like this again.

Your prize letter from Disney will give you all the information you need. My letter took 3 weeks to get to me and I was beyond anxious waiting for it to arrive.

I also won 4 3 day 1 park tickets and 2 days at a Disney hotel- we are headed in December as well!! I found that if you don't get your first choice and your trip includes any of the 3 disney hotels calling helps. I requested the GCH and ended up with the DLH and called about the dates (they had booked the wrong dates) and they told me they would not only fix my dates, but told me if I wanted the GCH as my first choice it was available. It was a super quick and easy phone call and they changed the booking right away. I don't think you can upgrade your tickets, but you can always purchase separately more days and like the pp said I was given a discounted rate if I wanted to add days (we opted to spend the extra day at the HoJo at a 50% rate instead of paying $500 for the one extra night at GCH ).

I had to call them because they sent my confirmation letter (with the dates and hotel) via email and I never received it. So I waited the two or so weeks and called the very next day after their time line. Any who, she told me my first date was probably not selected because of the the candlelight thing they do for the holidays. She could not tell me for sure as they probably don't want information out that far in advance. I selected my second dates for a week after my first because I really wanted to see Disneyland durning Christmas time but not be there during the crowded week of Christmas. It's been a few months now and I have what I think will be the perfect trip planned.

Question for those of you that won, is there an expiration date on the park tickets? I won a trip last month too, but I will have my AP by then, just for me though, and was wondering if we could just hold on to the extra ticket and get another trip out of it.

I believe my letter said I had 60 days to respond and must travel before February 2015. So my prize expired in less than one year after I won. I am going in a December and they will give me my tickets when I arrive. It's possible that I just had to use the hotel part of the trip by Feb 2015 and my tickets may have a different expiration date on them when I pick them up but I will not know until December.

I got my letter and we're booked for Jan. I just wasn't sure if the park tickets are only good while you're there or if there's an expiration like the regular tickets that say must be used by June or Dec. I was just curious b/c I won't be using the ticket, but will be back in May and was hoping my sister would be able to use it instead of it going to waste. Thanks for the info!

A magical thing happened to me! I won more Disney tickets! This time it was just the tickets and they expire March 2015. I am guessing that the tickets for your trip will expire on the date that you had to travel by. I hope this helps.

Several radio stations in my area (Utah) gave away several trips over several months. They usually give a few out every year but this year they did promotions with Alaska Airlines and they gave away more than ever. You have to be listening at the right time and be the right caller. I won from two separate stations about two months apart. I try whenever possible and have been trying for Disney for years. This year worked out perfectly because I was already planning a budget trip and this win made it possible to have the dream trip! If you ever hear of a Disney trip giveaway enter, call and try. You can't win if you don't try!

A great suggestion that someone here gave me when I won a trip.....

We won 4 3-day hoppers, and 2 nights, several years ago but needed 6 days since we extended the trip to GCH 4 extra nights (at a great rate). I was asking here about upgrading the tickets to longer (can't, they are not upgradable) and someone suggested that we use 2 hoppers the first 3 days and then use the second set the next 3 day. Then we just needed to buy 6-day (back when you could get 6-day) hoppers for the kids.

This saved us from buying 4 more 3-day hoppers and it was cheaper to buy the 2 6-day. Gotta love the DisBoards!
