Hi.. Quick question, can a passport plus pass be upgraded to an annual pass?

If so how does it work? Can you wait until the last day to do so and do you ge the full credit of what you paid towards the annual pass...

also does the annual pass include unlimited fast pass rised like the passport plus?

thanks

You have to turn in your parkhopper before the last day. The major rule is that you need to "upgrade" your hopper to an AP. The AP you trade up for has to be more expensive. Yess, you get full credit (that was such a delightful treat!!!) for the price of the pass!

Do it the day before your pass expires, as you lose Unlimited FP benifits when you trade in. Also save major purchases until you get an AP (especially if you are going for premium AP) to get the discounts.

Hope that helps.

Hey thanks for the info...

Just wanted to clarify, so If I have a 5 day pass, before leave disney on my last (5th) day I can stop by and upgrade to the annual pass?

Also do you do this at the ticket booths out in front of DL?

And does anyone know if the annual pass includes the unlimited fast past option like the passporter park tichets do? I am trying to decide if it will be better to upgrade at the end of our trip or not.. but I would hate to love the unlimited fast pass and then come back on the annual and not have hte same feature... might be better off to just buy another ticket...

thanks

I believe you need to go on your 4th day of a 5 day pass.

No, there is no unlimited fast pass option on any annual pass (wouldn't that be nice).

You upgrade your ticket to a pass at the ticket booth - then go inside DL to get your picture taken for the pass.

I believe you an upgrade on the 5th day, since your pass is good until the close of the parks that day. You would not be able to upgrade, say, the next morning, since by then your pass is no longer valid.

The AP's do not have unlimited FP but if you are going to make multiple trips with the 365 days (from the day you first used the Passport Plus) then it is deffiently worth the upgrade. We are going to get four uses out of our AP's so it was deffiently worth it. If you are getting a Premium (which I suggest at least one adult in the family get) you will get free parking and discounts on just about everything you would purchase something.

I think though if you have actually entered the park on that fifth day and then try to upgrade later that day, you are out of luck. I

While I do not know for sure, you should be able to on the last day, even after you enter the park, the pass is still good until the end of the day. Also you can upgrade one day tickets to AP's and the one day tickets are only good that one day, which to me is the same as using the last day on a hopper or passport plus. My understanding is that you can upgrade to another pass as long as the ticket is still valid.

The best thing to do is to ask at City Hall or Guest Relations.

We were at Disneyland a week ago and had purchased the 5 day passport plus, but were attending the parks for 6 days and also plan to return within a year. We upgraded to AP's on the 5th day with no problem at all, so I can confirm that you can upgrade on the last day that your pass is valid.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I appreciate the info!

I think I will just have to see if I can live with out the passport plus features (unlimited fast pass) when I am there and make my choice... I am afraid I will want the advantage when we return and maybe just buying another passport plus when we go back would be a better option for us...

anyway, thanks again

I upgraded our Passport Plus hopper (5 day) on the 5th day. In fact, when we went to upgrade (about noon on the 5th day) the CM asked us if we were done for the day. She wanted us to know we would lose the unlimited fastpass option when we did. We were leaving, which is why we were upgrading.

If you upgrade on the 4th day, and return the 5th day, you won't have unlimited fastpass.

Just an FYI-We purchased a AAA vacation pkg and upgraded our passes to premium annual passes. Our premium annual passes do include the multiple fastpass option for the length of our booked vacation stay (9 days). This was confirmed by reservations, guest services and our AAA TA. I'll let you know how it goes!

How much credit do you get on a 5 day parkhopper toward an AP do you get if you do this?

You get whatever you paid for it, toward the AP. So if you bought a 5-day hopper for $119 then you get $119 toward the AP.
