Hello all.

I am hoping someone can help me out. It is my understanding that I could possibly upgrade my passes from Ultimate Park hoppers to AP's at the resort. Has anyone had experience with this?

I am on a 4 night package and I am trying to figure out how much it would cost and who do I speak to to do this.

Any advice would be most appreciated!

The first thing I can tell you is that you cannot do it at a Disney resort. If it is possible to do it, it would have to be done at one of the Guest Relations windows at one of the four major parks. I seem to remember that if you are going to do this, it must be done PRIOR to any of the days being used. If you use one or more days of an Ultimate Park Hopper, then the only way you can use the remaining value is to purchase a Premium Annual Pass. But if you make the trade prior to using any days, then the entire price paid for the UHP can be applied to the cost of a regular Annual Pass.

Therefore, you need to talk to a cast member at Guest Relations/Ticket Services. You might want to call WDW and ask to speak to Ticket Services with your specific questions.

The following is according to Deb Wills' website:

I have heard that I can upgrade my park hopper pass to an AP or PAP and get full credit for the original purchase price even after I have used a few days admission. Is this true?

Yes it is. If you decide within 7 days of first using a hopper pass that you want to upgrade it to an AP/PAP, you will get full credit for the price of the hopper pass towards the AP/PAP. The AP/PAP will be backdated to the date the hopper pass was first used. But beware: If you get a hopper plus pass and use one of the plus admissions before doing this, you will only be allowed to upgrade to a PAP.

I hope this helps. :)

As LadyLt said, it cannot be done at the resort. The main reason is that Disney resorts do not sell AP's so they can't upgrade you to what they don't have.

Only UPH's that are not part of a package can be upgraded. That means you will have had to add them to a room only reservation prior to arriving at WDW or purchase them at check-in at the resort. If your UPH is part of a package you purchased such as Dream Maker, you cannot upgrade the UPH. The upgrade can only be done at a Guest Relations window/office.

I have not heard of the using a day means you must get a PAP before in connection with a UPH but it is a possibility especially if you went to any non theme park venue (like a water park or DQ or PI) and used the UPH for admission. The Guest Relations CM can see exactly where you used the UPH when they swipe your resort ID.

I have nver been to Disney Orld, so who can explain or where can I find the differece. AP, Park Hopper or what else? I have a reservation three nights at Poly. Includes passes of some type.

Jiffymom, if you got a package, and are staying at a Disney Resort, chances are good you have an ultimate park hopper pass.
