Upgrading MYW to AP at airport

I have seen in several places (although none that I trust) that you can upgrade a myw to an AP at the "earport" disney store at MCO. Does anyone know if this is true or is it only at guest relations in the parks. Also, do all four members of my party need to be present to upgrade their tickets, or I can I do it for everyone.

Thanks for your help.

Must be done at WDW, proper.
It can be done at any regular ticket booth or Guest Relations at the theme parks, water parks, TTC or Disney Springs.

Each guest, 18 yrs and older, buying/upgrading to an AP must be present.

That statement makes me nervous.
Why would you need to make a special trip?
Have you already used up your "ticket days" and won't be going to the park, anyway?

No, we got a great deal on 7 day hoppers through parksaver when we only needed six. It was cheaper so we took the extra day. Today was supposed to be departure day but our flight got cancelled and the airline gave us vouchers for free flights. We think we might use them to come back in october.

We are currently at a hotel by the airport waiting for our new flight tomorrow afternoon. So we might have to catch a cab down to one of the parks to upgrade.

Thanks for the concern though

Now, THAT is the very definition of "unique circumstances" in the ticket realm.
Yep. Any suggestions on which park would be easiest to execute the upgrade quickly tomorrow morning?

Luck-of-the-draw.
DHS, Epcot, and Disney Springs are the three locations closer to the airport, but not by much.

DHS has EMH tomorrow I believe, that would open their ticket booths early, wouldn't it?

Most likely not, they'll just have a couple extra CMs opening on the 7am shift.

To factor this out further...

There is no difference in the time they open ticket booths and/or Guest Relations at the parks between a 9AM opening time and an 8AM EMH opening time.
On days with either of those hours, the booths open between 7:00 and 7:30AM.
This is because, even though a "9AM park" may not be open to regular guests, it IS open to 8:00AM ADRs.
(Disney arranges to have ticket booths open at least 30 minutes before day guests are admitted to the park.)

But, on the rare days that MK offers a very early 7AM EMH, the ticket booths at MK and TTC will be open by approx. 6:30AM.

Thanks everyone. Upgrade to gold AP completed for the whole family with ease this morning at DHS. We chose DHS because it was closest and perhaps the most uber friendly drop off. Thus begins the year of wdw
Glad it worked out for you!
