Upgrading Military Salute Tickets to Genie Plus

Hello! So we have just booked rooms for Thanksgiving week at Disney. We were planning on the military tickets as several of our party qualify for them and they are quite a savings. However, our local base is not selling them with the Genie Plus option. They say they have had difficulty with it?? They are telling us we will have to upgrade them. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you!!

I recommend that you contact the ticket office located at Shades of Green. You'll have to pay a nominal fee to have the tickets FedEx'd to you, but they should be able to sell you tickets with G+ and these are also activated tickets. It might have changed but, in the past, some of the tickets sold at local travel offices on military bases had to be activated by Guest Services before using them at the gate the first time.
