My first of many questions no doubt! hehe

I just wondered if it possible to upgrade your hotel?

I have booked Santa Fe for March on the free meals offer, but now after reading so many good reviews for the other hotels, I really fancy staying in one of the better hotels.

Is it possible to upgrade to a better hotel? Anyone ever done this?

Thanks in advance
Hels xx

I would call Disney or whoever you booked with, if they have rooms left under the free meals offer then i don't see why they couldn't do this.

Its not possible to do this, if you change the hotel they treat it as a new booking and you will lose your free meals.

I know this as I have tried 4 times to upgrade ! You would think they would let you upgrade, they would be getting more money for the better hotel room!

I have never lost my booking, i upgraded hotel 3 times last year and only paid the difference in price.

If you want to book under a new offer then yes you will have to cancel your booking and rebook.

I think you will looses the free dinning offer if you do this, last year we had booked santa fe and changed to the cheyenne . If i rem correctly santa fe was with 1 free night offer but when we wanted to change to cheyenne there was a diffrent offer (40% off). so we lost the free night but we gained 40% off so there was a price diffrence of 22euro (i think) which i payed.

If the free dinning offer was still running you would obviously just pay the price diffrence, but as its not i think you will looses out in free dinning:sad1:

IF you booked under free meals and you want to upgrade and they have rooms left under that deal (all hotels have a certain amount of rooms for each deal) then you will be able to upgrade by paying the difference.

I have done this many times (different offers) and only had to pay the difference, none of my bookings ever had to be cancelled.

Isnt the free meals offer finished now though, didn't you have to book by mid- December 09?

Yes I think it is and Im sure thats why you cant upgrade without losing your free meals

It is finished but if you booked under that deal they will try and upgrade you with that offer if they have rooms avaliable.

When I booked last January there was a free night deal or something and even though the offer had finished i was able to upgrade 3 times just paying the difference.

The only way to find out, one way or the other, is to phone Disney, to upgrade/change your booking :).

:confused3
They would defo not let us upgrade , I cant see the HNY being 'fully booked' for the free dinning rooms , I have now been told 5 times I cant upgrade hotel :confused3

If you do phone them let us know what happens, we go in 28 days and would love to upgrade to HNY so if you manage it we will phone for the 6th time.

Anyone know if its possible to upgrade the type of room in a single once booked?

It is possible for them to be booked, as each hotel only has a certain number of rooms on the offer & the HNY has less rooms then the other hotels

But the HNY is the least usy hotel ?
Just phoned for the 6th time and they said it is not possible to change a hotel AFTER the offer has finished. :confused3

Don't worry, I think in this case your CM is correct - that was always my impression too - I honestly think in this case, as the offer of rooms in onsite hotels with free dining plan ended after mid-December, there are simply no more rooms that can be booked, in any onsite hotel, with the same offer now.

Very weird have done this on many occasions under different offers when they have finished.
