Just spotted the flash sale and have priced up our trip next week and this prices for the New York and DLH are brilliant. Called to see if we can upgrade which we can but can't have 50% price. Now I've read on here that people have done this previously, I've called both the french number and the UK number but had the same response.
Obvioulsy happy with where we are but would have loved to upgrade for a bargain.
Any other tips?
Thanks

usually they have "only for new bookings" stated in conditions

Just posted an answer on a certain other site but what other people have done is to cancel their current booking and then book again in the sale. There will be a cancellation fee but people usually find that they still save money and are also in a better hotel :-)

I just rang to upgrade I would have to pay standard no discount rate £1,200 to upgrade to DLH for 3 nights! :0 really????

Thanks Sarah I will try that tomorrow although given that we go next Wednesday don't think it will work for us this time.

Ive managed to upgrade twice, keep trying and you will eventually get through to a nice agent.

Ive just rang and spoke to a delightful cast member who has done it! Soooooo excited, I was before but even more so now! Even asked her for a castle view which she said is usually just the suites but as we are going midweek may be possible!! Am over the moon I tried again. Kids will be so excited too! :goodvibes

Congratulations so exciting!!! X

I totally got my hopes up there. I really want to stay at the DLH - if we were arriving the day before it is only £180 more expensive. But there are no offers on our date! Gutted is not the word, not that they would have upgraded us anyway - after the horrid week I have had, that wouldn't have happened!

I just called to try to get the sale price upgrade and she wouldn't let me. Do I just keep trying? I am scared that because they take my booking ref that they will put a note on saying I am a pain in the bottom!

I have no experience in doing this, but I suppose you just keep trying?

Just ask how much it would be to upgrade to whatever hotel you want, and if it's not a good price mention the flash sale - don't lead with the flash sale story iykwim?

The worst they can say is no.

I did as ms_poppins said and asked for an upgrade price, then when I got it mentioned the falsh sale.

I asked for an upgrade price, quite expensive, then mentioned the flash sale and got told it doesn't apply and would have to cancel and re-book. No luck for me!
