Upgrading for 1 night.

we are staying at SF for 3 days in the summer. I', considering upgrading 1 night to DLH as a surprise for my DH, he adores the hotel. Has anyone done this? Was it easy to change the booking? Was it worth it IYHO?

Well i've never done this hon but I would definitely do it, if only for the nice brekkie overlooking main street and the character interaction

If I wasn't still saving for stinking house i'd do the same

Mmm, I'm very tempted, but still humming and haaing over it! Not phoned yet *** I know what'll happn once I do!

We've never upgraded for a night but have added extra nights on (sometimes in a different hotel).

the only thing which might be awkward is the fact you will have to move your luggage form one to the other. You will have to be out of one hotel by 11 and may not get a room in the other til 3 (obviously you can store your luggage but wont have a room as such)- saying that when we moved to DLH from Magic Circus hotel last month we booked in at DLH at about 9.30am and our room was ready.

Hmmm...would be interesting to see what they say. I've not considered it before but it could be a way of staying at the DLH if only for the one night.
