Upgrading Disney tickets from Air Miles

I was looking into getting 3-day base tickets using Air Miles. The description states that once you get to WDW, you can add the Water Parks Fun and More, parkhopper and/or No expiration. What I couldn't tell was if you can add more days to the ticket? Has anybody done this?

We have upgraded airmiles tickets almost every trip. Just remember to use them once before upgrading.

YES you can! We've done it several times with no problem. In fact, I just redeemed for another 7 day base ticket (2 in total) and will be upgrading them to AP's next year!

As the pp mentioned, use the ticket BEFORE you upgrade so the gate price is locked into your ticket. We did ours at the MK. Went through the turnstiles with the ticket, then immediately went to Guest Services to upgrade.
