Not sure if there is a simple answer to this or not. If we buy the gay days convention tix (we will happen to be in the parks the week before gay days, and learned of these tix last year). The tickets aren't valid until Sunday Sept 27th. Which worked out well for us, we are flying in on Saturday.
My question is, what if we decide after all to try to hit the parks that Saturday night (convention tix not valid until Sunday). Would there be a way to add on one day at the ticket booth? I know with regular tickets you can, but not sure because these are a discounted ticket.

We thought we would play it by ear when we got there to see what we had time for. I wanted to see if this is even a possibility without buying a whole separate one day ticket (not worth the cost then for our family of 4), original tickets will be 4 day park hoppers. Any thoughts? Any experience with this?

I have never done this, but I would assume that if the convention tickets are not valid until the Sunday, you would have to buy a one day ticket for the Saturday. If you extended the tickets that are not valid until Sunday, it would add a day on to the END, not the beginning. Adding a day would not change the date the ticket becomes valid........

What about enjoying DTD on Saturday or maybe hanging out at the hotel pool (not sure where you're staying).

See that's my thinking as well. I thought I would throw it out there, it's amazing what other people know that I would never think about though! I wasn't sure how they would handle it honestly if we asked. We aren't convinced about going into the parks that evening. We are planning on dinner at Goofy's Kitchen and then just out in DTD. It is just a 'what if we have time' kind of question.

The answer for this is NO can not add days to these tickets. I have called and asked in the past and they said no you have to buy a 1 day pass at reg price.
