Upgrading Child's 4 Day Park Hopper

Hopefully someone can help with answers to these questions

If you haven't used a Child's 4 day Park Hopper (purchased at AAA), can you upgrade it to a Child's Annual Pass or an Adult Annual Pass? Will I get the full amount I paid for the 4 Day PH applied to whichever AP then?
