Upgrading at check in?

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded their resort at check in? Was the price difference the same or discounted?

We asked for a upgraded room at WL. The CM went into the back room and came back with a discounted offer. I'm guessing that they checked with the Manager.

Im hoping for an upgrade to Boardwalk view when we check in to BWI in 2 weeks. I have called numerous times and they have said none are available (at least with our code), but Im hoping there may be one when we check in =)

I actually meant upgrading to another resort- like a deluxe from a mod.

Each resort is run individually so not sure how that could work
